This happens to be my sweet and fearless sister!  I was insanely excited she joined me in Costa Rica for my Women’s Art and Serenity Retreat.  She’s an accountant by trade and her husband is a master carpenter and woodworker so they always seem to have projects going on but her busy life doesn’t give her much of a chance to just sit down and paint or create just for fun.  And did she have fun!!!  She dug right in, played with all kinds of materials, paint colors (her color is definitely red), and created some amazing mini studies. Seriously, every time I get to teach this process to someone new–sister–or not–I am blown away with the beautiful work that comes out of every single one.  We all have this creativity in us.  We just don’t know how to bring it out!  So many blocks along the way.  This is one of my favorite pieces Colleen did.  It’s a vibrant, tropical abstract that just makes me smile and brings back memories of our time together living the Pura Vida life!  It’s a really cherished time!  Keep following along for more inspiration and lots of great memories!
